Make sure you’re covered

Recent experience within the team has reminded us of why we insure our homes and cars, but what about something much more valuable: ourselves?

Many people will take out life assurance along with their first mortgage, but how many keep cover up-to-date?  Taking out a bigger mortgage or starting a family place additional demands on us and, although we all hope never to need it, our insurance should be able to meet these demands if we weren’t here.

If we were still here, but unfortunate enough to become unable to work through illness or injury, the demands on our finances could be even greater.  Statistics tell us that one in five will fall seriously ill before age 65, yet a far smaller proportion of people have plans in place that would protect their lifestyles, allow them to stay in their homes and adequately look after their families.

Life cover is cheaper today than it was ten years ago, so as well as ensuring that you’re properly protected, there may even be money to be saved.

Autumn Statement

Media as usual negative over statement.

What commentators seem to forget is we can go the way of France and just ignore Public spending and carry on as nothing has happened. Just look at France now.

This is a long term project to restructure the Public sector which should have taken place 20 years ago.

Let’s stay on course to the benefit of our children and future generations.

I also feel confidence is returning in the financial services sector.

As always would welcome your feedback
